The committees are being redefined and members are needed. If you are interested in any of the committees (yes, you can be on more than one), please call Denice at 314-2770.

We need people for Docents/Tour Guides - They provide tours of the Gardens and Butterfly House for patrons of all ages. They educate visitors about plants and butterflies. One of our volunteers teaches the Docents classes. We are having a session on Thursday, July 6th at 9:00am at the Children’s Library. It will be a two hour session with a break. If anyone has any interest they may call me at 263-0670 to sign-up.

Another volunteer position is Gift Shop Assistant – They assist Gift Shop Manager with customers and daily gift shop activities. Prior experience in retail and cash register use is helpful.

Volunteers are always needed for Horticulture-Indoor and/or Outdoor – They help maintain collections such as watering, weeding, planting, pruning, propagating, mulching etc.

Last but not least we need Office/Clerical volunteers – They assist with answering phones, data entry and general office duties.

There is always work to be done at the Gardens. The busiest time for the docents is April, May and June. We do have a wonderful group of volunteers and welcome anyone that would like to join us.
